Being an artist is a lot of pushing and pulling. It’s a lot of give and take. There is an almost a duality to it. Some days it all just flows out of you smoothly and naturally. The art seems to be creating itself. Some days you really have to force it and you have to work to make it happen. The art seems to be working against you. Perhaps the former stems from confidence and the latter from doubt.
